Your goal is our goal!

At Spine and Sports Physiatrists, our physicians are trained to alleviate and prevent disability and believe in the sports medicine approach.  Our physiatrists will formulate and supervise a return-to-work plan based on patient improvement.

Physiatrists are specially trained to alleviate and prevent disabilities and follow a “return to play” model, individualized to return patients to work as quickly and safely as possible.  Appropriate modified duty is encouraged during treatment course.

Non-surgical emphasis

Most musculoskeletal conditions can be treated effectively without surgery.  Our physicians are invested in finding effective, non-surgical treatments and provide appropriate referrals, if necessary, for optimal care.

Team approach

We coordinate ongoing care with therapists, surgical specialists, case managers, insurance adjusters, and referring doctors.  Our physicians will keep all parties informed of the injured worker's progress and your return-to-work plan, to assure recovery moves along as quickly as possible.

Comprehensive diagnostics

  • Thorough neurological and orthopedic clinical evaluation
  • Independent xray, MRI, and CT review and clinical correlation
  • On-site EMG / NCS and clinical  correlation
  • On-site diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic spinal and peripheral joint injection

Comprehensive musculoskeletal treatment

Our physicians treat both acute and subacute injuries through aggressive, monitored rehabilitation.  This is accomplished with effective, diagnosis specific therapies and closely monitored therapy assuring efficacy and patient progress.  Outcomes are judged in terms of physical performance, not subjective measures.
